You’ve booked a session - here’s what to expect:
Sessions last between 90 minutes and 2 hours. You will want to have that time blocked off. Here are a few things to be prepared for and get the most out of the session:
Make sure you will be alone and undisturbed for the length of the session.
You will want to be comfortable, so have whatever you. need ready - a comfy chair, water, pillows, blankets.
You may want to take some notes, so it’s good to have some paper and writing utensils.
I start sessions promptly to maximize our available time if you have any problems getting into the Zoom session or anything else comes up, email me right away.
Except in cases of emergency, I cannot refund or reschedule appointments that are canceled less than 24 hours in advance.
There are two important things that I will also go over at the start of the session:
Shamanic healing is not a replacement for licensed medical or mental healthcare. Even if a session leaves you feeling fantastic, do not discontinue or change any treatment without your provider’s consent.
Though I am not a licensed healthcare provider and not under HIPAA, I do hold everything you tell me and your identity in strictest confidence,
What happens during a typical session?
All sessions are unique, but here’s a general idea of how things will go during your sessions.
We will talk for a while about your goals for the session, and i will answer any questions. that you have.
I will conduct what’s called a diagnostic journey to ascertain what healing work my helping spirits outline for the session.
We will talk about what work we will be doing that day.
I will perform the healing ceremonies or other work my helping spirits have outlined.
We will recap the session, I will answer any questions that you have. We’ll talk about anything my helping spirits want you to do after the session to integrate the work.
What do I do during the session? What will I experience?
Other than conversing with me, your only task during the session is to relax and be open.
Everybody experiences each session differently. Some of my clients experience a greater feeling of peace and joy, some have big emotional shifts or releases of emotion. Sometimes there are shifts of physical or mental health symptoms.
It’s important to note that shamanic healing is meant to address the spiritual component of healing. It is not meant to replace your regular healthcare professionals. You should not discontinue any course of treatment without consulting. with your provider.
What happens after a session?
I will always try to leave you feeling as grounded as we can, but sometimes there are big emotional or physical shifts. It’s best to plan quiet activities where you can rest and focus on self-care after.
Around 24-48 hours after the session, I will email you a recap. This will just be a few notes to help you remember what we did during the session, but also give me a chance to check in with you.
I will check in again by email about a week later to see how you are doing integrating any of the work and to answer any questions you might have at that time.
